"God desires that we be more united to Him, and that we lead fuller lives of faith, relying solely on His power and His love."  (God Alone Suffices, Third Edition, pg. 60)

"There are two kinds of peace, just like there are two kinds of happiness. There is human peace and human happiness, both of which are short-lived and temporary. On the other hand, there is Christ's peace and Christ's happiness, which are born in us as a permanent reality when based on faith.   (The Gift of Faith, Third Edition, pg.129)

"Without Christ we can do nothing. It is Christ who is our life. Without him, we become like the branch that withers when cut from the vine. A person cannot actualize himself without Christ."     (The Gift of Faith, Third Edition, pg.256)

Thus says the Lord: “Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, let not the mighty glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches; but let him who glories glory in this, that he understands and knows me.” (Jeremiah 9:23-24)

The number of Holy Communions distributed at Medjugorje last month shows a staggering 40% increase on the corresponding month for 2011.

The April 2012 figure is reported at 351,500 by the parish information office, up by 55,300 on the previous year’s total of 292,200.

The is the highest level ever recorded for the month of April since the parish first began publishing records in 1985.

The previous highest ever total for April was in 1990 (143,800) the year before the outbreak of war in the Balkans. The figure dropped to 100,000 in 1991 and after that the full impact of war reflected the total in1992, just 11,000.

But the light of Christ in Medjugorje was never extinguished and when hostilities ended pilgrims began returning to the village and the number of distributed communions has steadily risen year on year.

Last year’s total of 2,027,900 was the highest number of communion hosts distributed at Medjugorje for a single year.

“He sent them...so that as sharers in his power they might make all peoples his disciples, sanctifying and governing them.... They were fully confirmed in this mission on the day of Pentecost (cf. Acts 2:1–26) in accordance with the Lord’s promise: ‘You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you shall be witnesses for me...even to the very ends of the earth’ (Acts 1:8). By everywhere preaching the gospel (cf. Mark 16:20), which was accepted by their hearers under the influence of the Holy Spirit, the apostles gathered together the universal Church, which the Lord established on the apostles and built upon blessed Peter, their chief, Christ Jesus himself remaining the supreme cornerstone...” (Dogmatic Constitution on the Church, 19).

"Dear children! With motherly love I implore you to give me your hands, permit me to lead you. I, as a mother, desire to save you from restlessness, despair and eternal exile. My Son, by His death on the Cross, showed how much He loves you; He sacrificed Himself for your sake and the sake of your sins. Do not keep rejecting His sacrifice and do not keep renewing His sufferings with your sins. Do not keep shutting the doors of Heaven to yourselves. My children, do not waste time. Nothing is more important than unity in my Son. I will help you because the Heavenly Father is sending me so that, together, we can show the way of grace and salvation to all those who do not know Him. Do not be hardhearted. Have confidence in me and adore my Son. My children, you cannot be without the shepherds. May they be in your prayers every day. Thank you."
