"If you are very upset or depressed by something, think that you
are then close to Mary whose life was so very difficult. God loved Mary in a special, exceptional way, but in her life there was so much suffering. Such is the way that God treats His friends."
(The Gift of Faith, pg. 110)
"The Most Blessed Virgin Mary said, 'may it be done,' in response to the limitless love shown her at the Annunciation. And so it should be in your life, as well. When, in the course of your meditation, God reveals His love for you, be it through the words of the text or through the interior experience of certain truths, your most appropriate response should be the desire to totally submit yourself to Him." (In the Arms of Mary, pg. 53-54)
"God reveals His will to her with an infinite love and Mary responds with total abandonment of herself, even if she is experiencing something that completely surpasses the capacity of human understanding."
(In the Arms of Mary, pg. 123)
"The Mother of God carries you throughout your life. She certainly will bring you safely to the goal, just as she brought St. Juan Diego to sanctity." (The Two Pillars, pg. 38)
Prayer to St. Juan Diego
You who were chosen by Our Lady of Guadalupe as an instrument to show your people and the world that the way of Christianity is one of love, compassion, understanding, values, sacrifices, repentance of our sins, appreciation and respect for God’s creation, and most of all one of humility and obedience;
You whom we know is now in the Kingdom of the Lord and close to our Mother;
Be our angel and protect us, stay with us as we struggle in this modern life often not knowing where to set our priorities;
Help us to pray to our God to obtain the gifts of the Holy Spirit and use them for the good of humanity and the good of our Church, through the Heart of Our Lady of Guadalupe to the Heart of Jesus. Amen.

“We pronounce, declare and define it to be a divinely revealed dogma that the immaculate Mother of God, the ever Virgin Mary, having completed the course of her earthly life, was assumed body and soul to heavenly glory.” (Pope Pius XII November 1, 1950)
Act of Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
O Mary, Virgin most powerful and Mother of mercy, Queen of Heaven and Refuge of sinners, we consecrate ourselves to thine immaculate heart.
We consecrate to thee our very being and our whole life; all that we have, all that we love, all that we are. To thee we give our bodies, our hearts, and our souls; to thee we give our homes, our families, our country. We desire that all that is in us and around us may belong to thee, and may share in the benefits of thy motherly benediction. And that this act of consecration may be truly efficacious and lasting, we renew this day at thy feet the promises of our Baptism and our first Holy Communion. We pledge ourselves to profess courageously and at all times the truths of our holy Faith, and to live as befits Catholics who are duly submissive to all the directions of the Pope and the Bishops in communions with him. We pledge ourselves to keep the commandments of God and His Church, in particular to keep holy the Lord's Day. We likewise pledge ourselves to make the consoling practices of the Christian religion, and above all, Holy Communion, an integral part of our lives, insofar as we shall be able so to do. Finally, we promise thee, O glorious Mother of God and loving Mother of men, to devote ourselves wholeheartedly to the service of thy blessed cult, in order to hasten and assure, through the sovereignty of thine immaculate heart, the coming of the kingdom of the Sacred Heart of thine adorable Son, in our own hearts and in those of all men, in our country and in all the world, as in heaven, so on earth. Amen.
