"Dear children, in this restless time, anew I am calling you to set out after my Son - to follow Him. I know of the pain, suffering and difficulties, but in my Son you will find rest; in Him you will find peace and salvation. My children, do not forget that my Son redeemed you by His Cross and enabled you, anew, to be children of God; to be able to, anew, call the Heavenly Father, "Father". To be worthy of the Father, love and forgive, because your Father is love and forgiveness. Pray and fast, because that is the way to your purification, it is the way of coming to know and becoming cognizant of the Heavenly Father. When you become cognizant of the Father, you will comprehend that He is all you need. I, as a mother, desire my children to be in a community of one single people where the Word of God is listened to and carried out.* Therefore, my children, set out after my Son. Be one with Him. Be God's children. Love your shepherds as my Son loved them when He called them to serve you. Thank you."
According to Mirjana, when Our Lady said "I, as a mother, desire my children to be in a community of one single people where the Word of God is listened to and carried out," she was speaking resolutely and with emphasis.
“Dear children! Pray, pray, keep praying until your heart opens in faith as a flower opens to the warm rays of the sun. This is a time of grace which God gives you through my presence but you are far from my heart, therefore, I call you to personal conversion and to family prayer. May Sacred Scripture always be an incentive for you. I bless you all with my motherly blessing. Thank you for having responded to my call."
"Dear children! I call you to, with complete trust and joy, bless the name of
the Lord and, day by day, to give Him thanks from the heart for His great love.
My Son, through that love which He showed by the Cross, gave you the possibility to be forgiven for everything; so that you do not have to be ashamed or to hide, and out of fear not to open the door of your heart to my Son. To the contrary, my children, reconcile with the Heavenly Father so that you may be able to come to love yourselves as my Son loves you. When you come to love yourselves, you will also love others; in them you will see my Son and recognize the greatness of His love. Live in faith! Through me, my Son is preparing you for the works which He desires to do through you – works through which He desires to be glorified. Give Him thanks. Especially thank Him for the shepherds - for your intercessors in the reconcilliation with the Heavenly Father. I am thanking you, my children. Thank you."
Mirjana Dragicevic-Soldo had daily apparitions from June 24th 1981 to December 25th 1982. During the last daily apparition, Our Lady gave her the 10th secret, and told her that she would appear to her once a year, on the 18th of March.
As Archbishop of Buenos Aires, Pope Francis opened his diocese to
Medjugorje priests, and asked Fr. Jozo Zovko to bless him. And shortly before he left for the papal conclave in Rome, he approved of visionary Ivan Dragicevic’s public apparition arrangements that drew 10,000
people.
In the recent newsletter of the organization Children of Medjugorje, Sr. Emmanuel Maillard summarizes three occasions when the new Pope, as Archbishop
of Buenos Aires, approved of public talks from prominent Medjugorje visitors in
his diocese.
The most recent of these approvals was given just a few weeks ago
“He welcomed Fr. Jozo Zovko while on his mission in Argentina. He welcomed
Fr. Danko last year, for his mission through Argentina. And Cardinal Bergoglio
allowed (visionary) Ivan to spread his witness in Buenos Aires early this
March. Only a few days before leaving for Rome to join the conclave, Cardinal
Jorge Bergoglio gave his approval for Ivan to receive the apparition at Luna
Park” Sr. Emmanuel informs.
Ivan further visited the Malvinas Microstadium where he drew about 5,500
people on March 6, a slightly higher number than at Luna Park two days
later.
Fr. Jozo Zovko, parish priest in Medjugorje by the time the apparitions began, tells the Croatian newspaper Slobodna Dalmacija that he spent a long time with then-Archbishop Bergoglio during his visit to Argentina in the late 1990s.
“We spent a long time together and talked about everything in Buenos Aires.
And he was interested. We prayed together and at the end he asked me for a
blessing. I touched one fine and good man. He is a good choice for a Church
that is getting better, and there is no better person than Francis to rebuild
the Church. Pope Francis’s gift to the Church is a fruit of the grace at this
time. He dares to talk about our failures” Fr. Jozo tells Slobodna
Dalmacija.
“He called for prayer, and his first move (as Pope) was going to Our Lady
with a bouquet of flowers. There is a man who, like Mary at Cana, sees and
feels and knows where to go.”
“We need such people deeply rooted in prayer. He holds a Rosary in his hand,
and draws on the Gospel. It is the key that opens all closed doors, and the
Pope is showing us the way.”

After more than 31 years of apparitions in Medjugorje, a never seen before event took place on Christmas Day.
According to visionary Marija Pavlovic-Lunetti, the Virgin Mary came with little Jesus in her arms and did not give a message – but little Jesus began to speak and said:
“I am your peace, live my commandments.”
With a sign of the Cross, the little Jesus and the Virgin Mary gave a blessing, the visionary said.
On rare occasions, the Virgin Mary has stayed silent before, and the visionaries have reported seeing Jesus, too, for Christmas as well as for Easter. But that Jesus speaks instead of the Virgin Mary has never been reported by a Medjugorje visionary before, throughout the more than 31 years of reported apparitions.
"Dear children! In this time of grace, I call all of you to renew prayer. Open yourselves to Holy Confession so that each of you may accept my call with the whole heart. I am with you and I protect you from the ruin of sin, but you must open yourselves to the way of conversion and holiness, that your heart may burn out of love for God. Give Him time and He will give Himself to you and thus, in the will of God you will discover the love and the joy of living. Thank you for having responded to my call."
"Dear children! When in nature you look at the richness of the colors which the Most High gives to you, open your heart and pray with gratitude for all the good that you have and say: ‘I am here created for eternity’ – and yearn for heavenly things because God loves you with immeasurable love. "Dear children, As the Queen of Peace, I desire to give peace to you, my children, true peace which comes through the heart of my Divine Son. As a mother I pray that wisdom, humility and goodness may come to reign in your hearts – that peace may reign – that my Son may reign. When my Son will be the ruler in your hearts, you will be able to help others to come to know Him. When heavenly peace comes to rule over you, those who are seeking it in the wrong places, thus causing pain to my motherly heart, will recognize it. My children, great will be my joy when I see that you are accepting my words and that you desire to follow me. Do not be afraid, you are not alone. Give me your hands and I will lead you. Do not forget your shepherds. Pray that in their thoughts they may always be with my Son who called them to witness Him. Thank you."

By Jakob Marschneron Sep 23, 2011 Seeing the Virgin Mary’s deep sadness because of humanity’s lack of response to her presence and graces made Medjugorje seer Mirjana Dragicevic-Soldo think she would not survive an apparition in 2007. Afterwards Mirjana was ill for three days, constantly seeing the Virgin’s face before her eyes and strongly feeling her pain, she reveals in a new book. Mirjana: "It hurts to see her cry, but it is even more agonizing to see the indescribable pain and sadness in her face, when her face winces with pain, when the pain is so strong that I do not need to see her tears to understand in how much pain she is."
Medjugorje visionary Mirjana Dragicevic-Soldo has had an apparition during which she thought she would die. While surviving her experience, Mirjana was ill for three days after the apparition, she tells in local author Kresimir Sego’s new book, “A Conversation with the Visionaries”.
Sego introduces the topic by recalling an apparition during the Winter 2007-08:
- Last Winter after an apparition, you said that Our Lady was sad, as sad as she had never been during any of her apparitions. What saddened her the most?
“She is most sad when she sees we are not going down the right path. She loves us like a mother and everyone is special and important to her. She takes care of each and everyone og us individually. She is most sad when she sees her children choose the path om doom rather than salvation”, Mirjana replies.
“It hurts to see her cry, but it is even more agonizing to see the indescribable pain and sadness in her face, when her face winces with pain, when the pain is so strong that I do not need to see her tears to understand in how much pain she is.”
The Virgin Mary’s pain springs from humanity’s general lack of response to all that she gives and all that she offers, Mirjana further reveals:
Mirjana: “Somehow the faith arose within me that we could wipe away her tears and lessen her pain. When I say we, I mean all of us, not only the visionaries and the priests. When Our Lady says “dear children”, then she speaks to all mankind. All people are her dear children”
“I can depict the pain she feels by looking at her face, and all because of us. She gives us so much and does so much for us and, yet, we don’t to make even the smallest step forward – not for her but for ourselves; this is terrible”.
Mirjana next describes what is likely to be her apparition on December 2nd 2007. Introduced by Sego only to have taken place in the Winter, from how Mirjana has described her apparitions the one on December 2nd is the only one from the period to have deep sorrow as the overall theme.
“During the apparition that you have mentioned, I felt as if I was going to die, I thought that I would not be able to survive. I was ill for three days after that apparition. Then God gave me the strength not to see her face constantly before my eyes and not to feel her pain so strongly”", Mirjana tells Kresimir Sego.

According to Mirjana’s descriptions, the Virgin Mary was “very sad” throughout the apparition on December 2nd 2007. “Her eyes were filled with tears throughout the whole time”, Mirjana revealed about the apparition.
“I asked Our Lady painfully not to leave us and not to give up on us. Our Lady painfully smiled to my request and left. This time she did not finish her message with the words “Thank you”, Mirjana further said.

The Virgin Mary’s sadness on December 2nd 2007 was accompanied by the following message:
“Dear children! Today, while I am looking at your hearts, my heart is filled with pain and shudder. My children, stop for a moment and look in to your hearts. Is my Son – your God truly in the first place? Are His commandments truly the measure of your life? I am warning you again. Without faith there is no God’s nearness.
