My children, Jesus loves you and gives you the grace to live in His mercy, but sin has overtaken many of your hearts and you live in darkness. Therefore, my children, do not wait, say ‘no’ to sin and surrender your hearts to my Son, because only in this way will you be able to live God’s mercy and, with Jesus in your hearts, set out on the way of salvation”

Though the Virgin Mary stayed silent and let the Christ Child give Christmas message to visionary Marija Pavlovic-Lunetti, the Virgin did speak in Medjugorje on December 25. Four and a half hour earlier she appeared to Jakov Colo, to give a message that mirrors the Christ Child’s.

The two messages out of Medjugorje on Christmas Day complement each other. While the Virgin Mary stayed silent to have the Christ Child on her arm give the message to visionary Marija Pavlovic-Lunetti in an unprecedented event in the evening, Mary had spoken complementary words to visionary Jakov Colo a few hours before:

“Dear children, give the gift of your life to me and completely surrender to me so that I may help you to comprehend my motherly love and the love of my Son for you. My children, I love you immeasurably and today, in a special way, on the day of the birth of my Son, I desire to receive each of you into my heart and to give a gift of your lives to my Son. My children, Jesus loves you and gives you the grace to live in His mercy, but sin has overtaken many of your hearts and you live in darkness. Therefore, my children, do not wait, say ‘no’ to sin and surrender your hearts to my Son, because only in this way will you be able to live God’s mercy and, with Jesus in your hearts, set out on the way of salvation” the Virgin Mary said, according to Jakov Colo.

“I am your peace, live My Commandments” the Child Jesus said a few hours later, according to Marija Pavlovic-Lunetti.

Jakov had his last daily apparition on September 12th 1998. Since then he has had an apparition every year, on Christmas Day. This year’s apparition began at 2:15 pm and lasted 10 minutes.

Taking place in the visionary’s private home, the apparition was open to the public and attended by just about 200 people in Jakov’s living room, attendee Marco Piagentini tells Medjugorje Today.
